US Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas) has a strategy to quit terrorists: shut down internet sites, such as social media networks.
Barton today asked Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler if the commission can shut down internet sites used by ISIS and other terrorist groups. Barton didn’t name any certain sites but said that “we want to do some thing” due to the fact of the terrorist attack in Paris.
“ISIS and the terrorist networks can’t beat us militarily, but they are really attempting to use the Net and all of the social media to try to intimidate and beat us psychologically,” Barton said.
