Following just six days on the marketplace, LG has cancelled its latest smartwatch, the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE. An LG representative tells Android Police that due to “a hardware problem” the company has had to halt sales of the device.
LG told the web site “Late in the high quality assurance method for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, our engineers were created conscious of a hardware issue which impacts the day-to-day functionality of the device. Soon after additional investigation, the decision was made to cancel the rollout of the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE due to the complicated nature of the problem.”
We were in a position to confirm the cancellation with LG. The business hasn’t gone into detail about what specifically is wrong with the device, but we have been told that there was “No danger to the user.” and “There are no safety concerns or concerns with the solution.” LG told each Ars and Android Police that it had not however decided if the device would ever be for sale once more.
