A young couple who burst into a holiday party at a Californian disability centre have been shot dead right after a confrontation with police.
The pair, identified as 28-year-old Syed Farooq and 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik, had been dressed in tactical combat gear and carrying handguns.
Fourteen folks have been killed and 17 people have been wounded in the attack — the deadliest US mass shooting since 2012 when 26 people such as 20 youngsters were shot dead at an elementary college in Connecticut.
Authorities are still investigating the trigger and have not ruled out terrorism.
