Mother and daughter Karlie Pearce-Stevenson and Khandalyce Pearce, alleged murder victims whose remains had been identified far more than 1,000 kilometres apart, have finally been laid to rest with each other in their hometown of Alice Springs.
A lot more than a hundred mourners gathered at the Alice Springs Desert Church for the private farewell for the pair.
The remains of Ms Pearce-Stevenson have been located in the Belanglo Forest in NSW 5 years ago, whilst her daughter’s remains have been discovered along with a suitcase on the side of South Australia’s Karoonda Highway in July this year.
A group of folks in Alice Springs released dozens of pink and blue balloons outside the church at the conclusion of the service.
The adore and support provided by all these very good men and women who assisted the loved ones by means of these dark and unforgiving years will never ever be forgotten.

The mother and daughter were buried collectively in a little white coffin at a local cemetery, subsequent to Ms Pearce-Stevenson’s mother Colleen Povey, who died in 2012.
Prior to the service the family members released a statement acknowledging the outpouring of support they received from the wider neighborhood.
The statement quoted celebrant Meredith Campbell.
“The really like and assistance offered by all these great people who assisted the family through these dark and unforgiving years will never ever be forgotten,” Ms Campbell mentioned.
The family members statement went on to describe the mother and daughter.
“Karlie was remembered as a cheeky, sort and loyal young lady, who was usually there to help family,” it stated.
The statement said Khandalyce and her mother were “always there, front and centre” and that the pair were “facing the world with all its charms, persuasions and pitfalls”.
The discovery of the remains Khandalyce shocked the country and led to a big-scale police investigation to attempt and operate out her identity.
She was only identified in October this year, after a tip-off to police.
Daniel Holdom, 41, has been charged with murdering Karlie Pearce Stevenson.
No charges have however been laid more than the death of her daughter.
